Ingredients
8ozDried Beef finely chopped
8ozSour Cream
8ozCream Cheese at room temperature
3TbspOnionminced
2TbspHorseradishoptional
Bread Bowloptional
Instructions
On low speed in a mixing bowl beat together sour cream and cream cheese.
Fold in Onion. Also, fold in Horseradish if desired.
Stir in dried beef.
If you are using a bread bowl hollow out the center and fill with prepared dip. Otherwise, bake in a small oven safe dish. (I'd use some kind of non-stick spray on the dish).
Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Serve hot with bread cubes, fresh veggies and crackers.
Notes
You can use a baking dish, but the bread bowl is the best way to enjoy a dried beef dip. Adding fresh horseradish gives it a nice zing, but you can easily omit it.
Sometimes finding the main ingredient, dried beef, for this recipe is tricky. I can normally go to any of our local butcher shops and buy it by the pound. My son has even made a dried venison roast that I have been able to use in my dip recipe.
