Gyro Pizza

This Greek inspired gyro pizza recipe is a tasty dish to create for a fun weekday or weekend dinner! The family is sure to love this!

Ingredients

  • 6 Whole Wheat Pitas
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 lb Ground Lamb or lean beef
  • 2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 2 tsp Coarse ground pepper
  • 1 Garlic Clove minced
  • 2 tsp Fresh parsley chopped
  • 4 oz Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 1 Tomato thinly sliced
  • 1 Onion thinly sliced
  • Lettuce shredded
  • Tzatziki Sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325.
  • Brush pitas with olive oil and bake for 3 mins on each side.
  • Mix seasonings into meat and fry until no pink remains.
  • Divide meat evenly on pitas. Sprinkle with cheese, Tzatziki Sauce, lettuce, tomato and onion.
  • Use a pizza cutter to slice into triangles. Enjoy!
