These Mini Apple Pie Bites Are The Easiest Dessert You’ll Ever Love

There’s something special about a dessert that’s both simple and comforting – and these apple pie bites deliver just that.

Each one has all the flavor of a classic apple pie tucked into a golden, buttery pastry that fits right in your hand.

They’re quick to make, easy to serve, and smell incredible while baking.

Ingredients

Sugar
Cinnamon
Refrigerated pie crust
Butter
Apples
Caramel sauce (optional)

Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar and Dough

Preheat your oven to 425°F. In a small bowl, stir together sugar and cinnamon, reserving one tablespoon of the mixture for later.

On a lightly floured surface, unroll the pie crusts and trim each one into an 8-inch square. Brush the dough with two tablespoons of melted butter, then sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar.

Using a sharp knife or pastry cutter, slice each square into eight one-inch strips – these will become the flaky, sweet wrapping for your apples.

Wrap the Apple Wedges

Peel and core your apples, then cut each one into eight wedges.

Take one pastry strip and wrap it around an apple slice, keeping the sugared side of the dough against the apple for the best caramelized flavor.

Continue wrapping until all the slices are covered. Arrange the bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between them so they bake evenly.

Bake to Golden Perfection

Brush the tops of the wrapped apples with the remaining melted butter and sprinkle them with the reserved cinnamon sugar mixture.

Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, or until the pastry turns crisp and golden brown.

The scent of warm cinnamon and baked apples filling the kitchen is reason enough to make these, but the taste seals the deal.

Serve the apple pie bites warm, and for an extra indulgence, drizzle them with caramel sauce.

How to Store Apple Pie Bites

If you somehow have leftovers, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for one to two days, or refrigerate for up to a week.

They also freeze beautifully for three to four months – just reheat them in a 350°F oven for about five minutes until warmed through.

For easy prep ahead of time, you can slice the apples the night before and toss them in lemon-lime soda to prevent browning, then assemble and bake the next day for that just-made magic.
